Frequently Asked Questions

What is Humanmark?

What does Humanmark do?

Humanmark does one thing: confirms you're human. When a service needs to know you're not automation, we provide verification using your device's built-in security (the same technology that protects your banking apps).

Why do services need this?

Automation is everywhere. It buys up concert tickets before you can click "purchase." It floods comment sections with fake posts. It creates reviews you can't trust. Humanmark helps services know they're dealing with real humans.

How is this different from CAPTCHAs?

Let's be honest: CAPTCHAs are now IQ tests for automation. AI solves them faster and more accurately than humans. They exist to slow down attacks, not verify humanity. Humanmark uses your device's security hardware to verify you're actually human, something automation can't fake.

How It Works

How does Humanmark verify I'm human?

Your phone has a security chip that protects things like your digital wallet. When you verify with your fingerprint, face, or passcode, this chip creates a digital stamp. We verify it's real. The service learns you're human. That's it.

What happens when I verify?

1. Service requests verification 2. You tap "Verify" in Humanmark 3. Confirm with your face, fingerprint, or passcode 4. Service gets confirmation you're human The whole process takes about 2 seconds.

Does this track me?

No. We have a stateless architecture; nothing is stored between verifications. Each verification is processed and immediately discarded. We don't build profiles or track your activity.

Privacy & Security

What information do you share about me?

One thing: whether you're human. Not your name, email, location, or anything else. Websites learn "yes, this is a human" or "verification failed." Nothing more.

Are my biometrics safe?

Your biometrics never leave your phone. Ever. We use your device's existing security (the same system your banking apps trust). We just verify that it worked.

Can I trust Humanmark with my privacy?

Yes. We built Humanmark with a stateless architecture; nothing persists between verifications. No accounts. No user IDs. No stored data. Delete the app and every trace is gone.

What if I get a new phone?

Just download Humanmark again. Since there are no accounts or stored data, there's nothing to transfer. Install and go.

Using Humanmark

Do I need an account?

No. Download and use. No sign-up, no email, no password. Accounts enable tracking; we don't want that.

Is it free?

Yes. The Humanmark app is completely free. Websites pay us to verify humans; you never do.

What devices work?

• iPhone and iPad with iOS 16 or later • Android devices with Android 9 or later • Your device needs face recognition, fingerprint, or passcode enabled If you can unlock your phone, you can use Humanmark.

What if I can't use biometrics?

No problem. You can verify with your passcode; whatever you use to unlock your phone.

What happens if I delete the app?

Everything disappears. No account to close, no data to delete. It's already gone. Reinstall anytime.

Technical Questions

How does this actually work?

Your phone's security hardware creates proofs that require your face, fingerprint, or passcode. When you verify: • Device proves it's real hardware • You confirm with device authentication • We verify the proof is valid • Website learns you're human It's like a tamper-proof seal that only works with human presence.

Why can't automation beat this?

Automation can't: • Fake hardware security chips • Satisfy your device authentication • Reuse old verifications • Run security hardware in software It's not about harder puzzles, it's about requiring something only humans can do.

Is this like 2FA apps?

No. Two-factor authentication proves WHO you are. Humanmark proves WHAT you are (human). Similar security, completely different purpose.

The Bigger Picture

Why does human verification matter?

The internet is becoming a place where you can't tell who's human. Without verification, we get automation-bought inventory, artificial conversations, and fake reviews. Humanmark provides the missing signal: actual human presence.

What's wrong with current solutions?

They've given up. Every "human verification" tool now just filters out bad automation while sophisticated AI passes through. They measure automation quality, not humanity. We're solving the original problem everyone else abandoned.

How is Humanmark different?

We went to the hardware. While others chase complex puzzles that AI solves, we use the one thing automation can't fake: hardware-backed proof of human presence. Simple. Unforgeable. Human.

What's your vision?

A human internet. Not eliminating automation (that's impossible), but knowing the difference. Creating spaces that are intentionally, verifiably human.
